Routine care versus deeper service
Washing the reusable filter is valuable routine care, but it is not the same as inspecting and cleaning the internal assembly. Dust and moisture can collect deeper inside the head, particularly around the coil, blower, drain pan, and drain pathway.
The correct service depends on the equipment, access, symptoms, and observed condition—not a one-size-fits-all cleaning package.

Protect the equipment and the room
A professional plan should protect the wall and surrounding finishes, manage runoff, use methods appropriate to the equipment, and confirm drainage and operation after reassembly.
The goal is not aggressive washing for its own sake. The goal is careful component access and a clear reason for each step.
