What airflow and duct-pressure testing can reveal

An HVAC system can turn on, produce conditioned air, and still fail to deliver comfort where the building needs it. Measurements help connect the complaint to actual system behavior.

Equipment is only part of delivery

One room may lag behind. Registers may be noisy. A system may run for long periods without creating an even result. These symptoms often require looking beyond the equipment cabinet.

Airflow testing helps show how much air is moving and where it is—or is not—being delivered. Duct-pressure testing helps reveal the resistance the blower is working against.

Data changes the recommendation

Measurements do not replace experience; they make experience more useful. The conversation moves from trying a part to explaining what the system is doing.

Testing is especially useful when comfort problems have survived previous repairs, equipment replacement did not solve room-to-room imbalance, or a property has additions, zoning, or constrained duct routes.
